Christmas Blessings Project

Starting Mid November, our church (http://www.greenleafchurch.org/) challenged us with the Stewardship Project. Each group is given $100 and we are to go and multiply it for God's Kingdom. This year, my group decided to adopt local families, in hopes to help a few of our "neighbors." We chose "Christmas Blessings" as our group name because we wanted to bring bless families with Christmas. With all the donation, we raised over $500 and was able to adopt 5 families with an artificial Christmas tree, bikes, clothes, legos, scrapbooks, food and a special Omaha Steak meal. Above is a picture of three $100 Target giftcards and handmade cards, made by the kids and moms in our group, that we suprised 3 families that we knew would not let us help them if we asked, but sure could use a little helping hand. All the families comprised of single parent homes and low or no income families. We were so blessed by all the donations that came in to help these families and we know that they are so blessed too! Thank you so much for those who helped us make this happen.

Wow, Karol! This is awesome. I got choked up reading it. We always over do it for the kids at Christmas, I can't imagine how heart breaking it must be for parents who are struggling and unable to provide for their families.
